Ginkgo screen print on wooden panel: Handmade

**Ginkgo Screen Print on Wooden Panel Numbered and Signed by Marijn te Kolsté. Japanese Root Paper on Birch Wood, Edition of 150 Pieces** The Ginkgo screen print on a wooden panel, handcrafted by Marijn te Kolsté, is a unique artwork that combines the beauty of nature with craftsmanship. The screen print is printed on Japanese root paper and then mounted on a typically Japanese panel form. This provides a natural appearance with more depth among the leaves. 50 x 50 cm and 5 cm away from the wall on small legs. Feel free to ask if you have a preference for a specific number. The text on this screen print is inspired by the seasons. It is a poem written by Marijn te Kolsté. On the Wickenburgh estate, where the studio is located, there are two very tall Ginkgo trees, planted around 1820, which have radiant yellow leaves in autumn. In autumn, the leaves lie in a circle like a large sun on the ground under the tree. This is so inspiring—the colors, the fan-shaped leaves—that it inspired the poem. The Ginkgo Biloba or Japanese temple tree was first planted in the Netherlands around 1780 in the botanical gardens of Utrecht and Leiden. On the Wickenburgh estate, two were planted around 1820. These have also become very large. The leaves of these Ginkgoes were used for the screen print. The Ginkgo is also called a fossil needle tree because the leaf has no midrib. It looks like the needles have grown together into a fan-shaped leaf. Tea can be made from the leaves. This helps to think clearly. (Also used against a hangover) An inspirational afternoon can be organized around this special tree.
